Aveli

Cellulite is a common condition caused in part by fibrous bands beneath the skin that pull downward while surrounding fat pushes upward, creating dimples and an uneven surface.
Aveli is a minimally invasive treatment designed to release these fibrous bands and reduce the appearance of cellulite dimples. Unlike liposuction, which removes fat, Aveli specifically addresses the connective tissue bands that contribute to the characteristic dimpling of cellulite.
Through small access points, the device is placed beneath the skin and used to selectively release the bands responsible for visible dimpling. Because the treatment targets the underlying cause of individual dimples rather than simply removing fat, it can be used in patients who have cellulite even when they are otherwise at a healthy weight.
Aveli may be appropriate for patients who have visible cellulite dimpling of the thighs, buttocks, or other areas that they would like to improve.
Good candidates generally:
Aveli is not appropriate for every type of cellulite. Patients with significant loose skin or substantial excess fat may benefit more from a different or combination approach.
Evaluate the areas of cellulite, skin quality, underlying fat, and the overall contour of the treated area.
Together, you will discuss:
Because cellulite varies considerably from patient to patient, treatment is tailored to the specific areas and dimples you would like to improve.
Aveli is typically performed in the office using local anesthesia. In some instances, Aveli is done in the operating room under anesthesia when it is combined with other procedures or due to patient preference.
The procedure generally involves:
The procedure typically takes approximately one to two hours, depending on the number and size of areas being treated.
Small bandages are placed over the access sites after treatment. Patients return home the same day.
Swelling, bruising, soreness, and temporary tenderness are common following Aveli. Some patients experience temporary firmness or irregularity as the tissues heal.
Most patients can return to normal daily activities with a few days, although strenuous exercise may be restricted temporarily.
Compression garments are typically recommended to be worn over the treated areas for a few weeks.
The treated areas continue to improve as swelling resolves and the tissues heal.
