The Procedure
Facial fat grafting is typically performed as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on your treatment plan.
The procedure begins with gentle liposuction to harvest fat from an area such as the abdomen or thighs. The fat is then carefully processed and purified before being meticulously injected into selected areas of the face using small cannulas.
Small amounts of fat are placed in multiple layers to create smooth, natural contours and maximize long-term survival of the transferred fat.
Most patients return home the same day.
Recovery after Facial Fat Grafting
Recovery following facial fat grafting is generally well tolerated.
