Breast Lift
Elevate and reshape the breasts to restore natural balance, proportion, and confidence

Over time, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, aging, and gravity can cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape and position. The breasts may become flatter, elongated, or lower on the chest, and the nipples may gradually point downward.
A mastopexy, or breast lift, reshapes and elevates the breasts to create a more youthful and balanced appearance. The procedure can be performed alone or combined with breast augmentation when additional volume or fullness is desired.
You may be a good candidate for a breast lift if you:
A breast lift is particularly well suited for patients who are happy with their overall breast volume but would like their breasts to sit higher and have a more youthful shape. For those who desire to increase their breast volume as well, breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation.
One of the most important decisions is determining whether you need a lift alone or would benefit from adding volume with an implant or fat grafting. Our goal is to select the approach that best matches your anatomy and desired appearance.
A breast lift is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia.
During surgery, excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is carefully reshaped and repositioned to create a more elevated and youthful contour. The nipple and areola are moved to a more natural position while maintaining their blood supply and sensation whenever possible.
The incision pattern depends on the amount of lifting required and your individual anatomy. Common approaches include a scar around the areola, a vertical scar extending below the areola, or a combination of these with an incision along the breast crease.
If breast augmentation is performed at the same time, the implant is placed during the same procedure to restore or increase breast volume.
Most patients return home the same day after surgery.
Recovery following a breast lift is generally well tolerated.

Most patients return to work within 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the physical demands of their job. Light walking is encouraged soon after surgery, while strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are gradually resumed according to your surgeon’s recommendations.
Your breasts will appear elevated immediately after surgery, but their shape and position will continue to settle and soften as healing progresses over the following several months.
