Breast Augmentation
Enhance your natural proportions with a personalized approach to breast augmentation

Breast augmentation or augmentation mammoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size, shape, and overall balance of the breasts using breast implants. Whether your goal is to restore volume lost after pregnancy or weight loss, improve symmetry, or achieve a fuller appearance, breast augmentation is tailored to your individual anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Modern breast augmentation is about much more than simply increasing breast size. Careful planning allows your surgeon to select the implant and surgical technique that best complements your body, creating beautiful, natural-looking results that fit your proportions and lifestyle.
You may be a good candidate for breast augmentation if you:
Breast augmentation can often be performed alone or combined with other procedures, such as a breast lift, depending on your anatomy and goals.
Choosing the right breast implant is an important part of your breast augmentation journey. Today’s implants are available from multiple manufacturers and in a variety of sizes and profiles, allowing your surgeon to tailor the procedure to your unique anatomy and aesthetic goals.
The most commonly used implants are filled with either silicone gel or saline (salt water). Both are FDA-approved and have excellent safety records. Silicone implants are often chosen for their soft, natural feel, while saline implants may be appropriate for certain patients based on their anatomy or personal preferences.
There is no single “best” breast implant. The ideal implant depends on your body proportions, existing breast tissue, lifestyle, and personal goals. During your consultation, your surgeon will help you compare your options and recommend an implant that complements your figure while achieving a natural, balanced result.
Modern breast implants are durable medical devices designed to provide long-lasting results. While they are not considered lifetime devices, many patients enjoy their implants for many years without requiring additional surgery.
Choosing the right implant involves much more than selecting a cup size. Your surgeon will help you choose an implant that complements your body proportions, tissue characteristics, and long-term goals while striving to achieve a natural, balanced appearance.
We encourage you to ask questions, discuss your goals openly, and take the time you need to understand your options. Our goal is for you to leave your consultation with all the information necessary to make the treatment decision that is right for you.
Breast augmentation is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia.
Depending on your treatment plan, the implant may be placed through an incision in the breast fold or around the areola. Your surgeon will recommend the approach that best suits your anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Implants may be positioned either beneath the pectoralis muscle or above the muscle, depending on your existing breast tissue, lifestyle, and desired result.
After the implants are carefully positioned and symmetry is confirmed, the incisions are meticulously closed. Most patients return home the same day.
Recovery after breast augmentation is generally well tolerated.
You can expect:
Most patients return to work within one week, depending on the nature of their job. Light walking is encouraged immediately, while strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are gradually resumed according to your surgeon’s recommendations.
Although you’ll notice an immediate improvement in breast volume, your final results will continue to develop as swelling resolves and the implants settle into their natural position over the next several months.
